How do I watch my courses on my TV?

Watching lesson videos on a TV can be a great way to enjoy content on a larger screen. There are a couple of methods to achieve this, depending on the connections you have.

Using an HDMI Cable

This method involves physically connecting your computer to the TV using an HDMI cable. It's a straightforward way to mirror your computer screen on the TV.

Equipment you need:

  • HDMI cable (ensure it has the appropriate connectors for your computer and TV)
  • Computer with an available HDMI output
  • TV with an available HDMI input

Connecting the HDMI Cable:

  1. Turn off both your computer and TV.
  2. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into your computer's HDMI output port.
  3. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your TV's HDMI input port.

Configuring TV Input:

  1. Turn on your TV and switch it to the correct HDMI input. Use your TV remote to cycle through the available HDMI inputs until you see your computer's screen.

From there, you can click play on the video from your computer to then view the video on your TV. You can control playback, volume, and other settings from your computer or mobile device.

Using Casting (Chromecast or Similar Devices)

Casting allows you to stream content from your computer to your TV wirelessly using devices like Google Chromecast.

Set Up Your Chromecast:

  1. Ensure your Chromecast is plugged into an available HDMI port on your TV and connected to a power source using the provided USB cable.
  2. Make sure your Chromecast is properly set up and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Open Google Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer and open the Foxsy course in which you would like to view a video.

Cast a Tab:

  1. Click the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the Chrome browser window to open the menu.
  2. Select "Cast" from the dropdown menu.

Choose Your Chromecast Device: A small Cast window will appear. Click the dropdown arrow next to "Cast to" to select your Chromecast device from the list.

Select Content to Cast: After selecting your Chromecast device, you can choose what to cast:

  • Cast a Tab: This option will cast the entire content of the current browser tab to your TV, including websites, videos, and more.
  • Cast Desktop: This option mirrors your entire computer screen to the TV.
  • Cast File: This option allows you to cast local media files (e.g., videos or images) stored on your computer.

Start Casting: After selecting the Foxsy video you want to cast, click the "Share" button to start casting. The video will appear on your TV screen through the Chromecast.

Control Playback: You can use your computer to control playback, volume, and other settings while the video is being cast to your TV.

Stop Casting: To stop casting, click the Cast icon in the Chrome toolbar (the one that looks like a rectangular box with Wi-Fi waves) and select "Stop Casting."

Please note that the steps might vary slightly depending on the specific computer, TV, and casting device you have. Also, ensure that all your devices are up to date with the latest software versions for the best experience.
